Happy Hauntings- Throw a Spooky Shindig!

Tonight's post is intended to inspire your inner ghoul - and help you throw a wicked Halloween party!

Set the table with realistic rats and crows from Oriental Trading. Accent the vignette with fall leaves, iron candelabras and lots of candles.

Start the evening off with "swamp shots" made of your choice of green liquors served in glasses with green sugar sprinkled rims instead of salt. For those who prefer something less murky to drink - serve sodas or beers with spooky self stick labels - also from Oriental Trading.

Serve a creepy meal of "Adam's Ribs" created using two racks of ribs and a peeled red bell pepper "heart". Serve them on a cutting board complete with a knife "stabbing" the bell pepper heart.

Warm even the coldest of souls with floating mozzarella "eyeballs" in tomato soup "blood". Add an extra creepy touch by using pimentos as "irises" and a black olive with dried rosemary sprigs for legs.

No blood soup would be complete without bread stick "bones" for dipping!
Form them using homemade dough or save some time with pre-made dough found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.

Your guests are sure to freak!

Happy Hauntings,
Melanie
